Location
Known as the “Crossroads of the South,” Metro Jackson is strategically located near the center of Mississippi and within 500 miles of approximately 76 major metropolitan areas and over one-third of the nation’s population. The area is 157 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and its deep water ports and 45 miles from the Mississippi River and the inland waterway Port of Vicksburg. Jackson, the capital of Mississippi, is located in Hinds County. It is centrally located in the state and lies approximately 210 miles south of Memphis, 180 miles north of New Orleans 405 miles east of Dallas, 396 miles west of Atlanta, and approximately 180 miles from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. The Hawkins Field Business Center is located at 4240 Industrial Drive, Jackson, Mississippi, 39209 at the I-220 ramp (interchange at Industrial Drive) in the Hawkins Field Industrial Park in Jackson.

Transportation
Jackson is considered a leading U.S. distribution center attracting many businesses because of its location as a transportation corridor. The Hawkins Field Business Center has excellent access to variety of transportation channels. By road, rail, air, and water, the area offers many ways for quick and easy access to major cities throughout the US.
Highways
Two major thoroughfares, Interstates 20 and 55, intersect in Jackson. Interstate 20 extends from South Carolina in the east to Texas in the west where it connects with Interstate 10 to California. Interstate 55 starts at Chicago, Illinois, goes through Memphis, Tennessee and ends at New Orleans, Louisiana. A third artery, Interstate 220, connects Interstate 20 west of Jackson and Interstate 55 north of Jackson. United States highways 49, 51, and 80, fanning out in all directions, also in all directions, also intersect in Jackson and connect the metro area with the contiguous states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and with the Gulf of Mexico. At present, the City of Jackson is in a major program of repairing and expanding city streets. State highways and the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway wind through the metropolitan area and connect with numerous paved county roads to complete this excellent roadway system.

Hawkins Field Airport
Jackson, Mississippi International (JAN) is conveniently located 9 miles from The I-55 Business Center. Air service to this airport includes: ASA, American Eagle, Comair, Continental, Delta, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and US Airways.
New Orleans International Airport (MSY) has multiple carriers providing air service including: AirTran, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, Grupo Taca, Trans-World Airlines, United Airlines, Jet Blue, Air Canada, American West Airlines, Comair, Midway, Midwest Express, Vanguard and US Airways. Driving time to the New Orleans Airport is approximately three hours from Jackson, MSA.
Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport (PIB) is located less than 90 miles southeast of the City of Jackson. Northwest Airlink provides daily connecting flights to and from Northwest Airlines’ hub airport in Memphis. Unlike other regional airports, the Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport has continued to experience phenomenal growth in boardings the past few years.
Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport (GPT) is located 150 miles southeast of the Jackson, MSA, adjacent to four-lane U.S. Highway 49. Airlines providing service to this airport include: AirTran, Continental, Delta, Nations Airways, Southeast and Northwest.
Mobile, Alabama Regional Airport (MOB) is located approximately 180 miles southeast of Jackson, MSA adjacent to four-lane U.S. Highway 98. Continental Express, Delta, US Airways and Northwest provide service to the Mobile Airport.
